“Before I started to work with Josh Lebow, the Body Tailor, I would have regular low-back spasms.  I’m 62 and have had a broken upper back and a disc removed in my lower back.  I also have psoriatic arthritis.  These spasms, probably half a dozen or more a year, would put me in bed for 1-3 days and they made it hard for me to pursue my passion—which is golf.  Since I started to see Josh, about a year ago, I have not had anymore lower back spasms.  None.  I played a lot of golf last year, shoveled snow, lifted weights.  No spasms.  He has a unique approach and a thorough understanding of the body, and he’s helped me with posture and diet, as well as exercise.  A smart guy, a good guy, and someone I recommend without reservation.”

“I suffered for a year and a half with chronic knee pain triggered by a torn meniscus. Several courses of physical therapy treated the symptoms briefly and then they would return.  All motion that involved my injured leg was difficult.

Josh began teaching me from the beginning, how to move in such a way that it would relieve the pressure on my knees. From getting up and down to walking, and breathing.  He always carefully explained to me what he wanted me to do and why.

The pain in my knee went away within six weeks of beginning to work with Josh and has never returned.

I was motivated by my injury to seek Josh’s help, but I didn’t stop once I had started.   Josh (and Carrie) supervised more vigorous weight training sessions, and guided my return to regular aerobics sessions without stressing my knees.

Josh is exceptionally intelligent, skilled and always studying. He is also perceptive and intuitive.  Josh coached me to develop a sustainably healthier way of living, eating and moving, I recommend The Body Tailor not just for people with injuries but for people who are looking for an holistic approach to physical health.”

“Working with Josh at the Body Tailor has helped me get out of a cycle of constant neck and back pain. It gave me a completely different perspective towards training and overall well-being. What I appreciate the most is the fact that he focuses on education regarding root causes for back/neck tension (things I would never have been aware of otherwise), and prescribes exercises tailored to my situation. Training with him has enabled me to manage and mitigate pain, and pursue activities that I enjoy but used to avoid before. I truly look forward to every session with him."

"I found out about CHEK training through my brother in CA.  Conventional PT/Pliates were not helping me.  Through a long referral train I found my way to Josh Lebow at the The Body Tailor.  When I met Josh I was suffering from several issues which were chronic and wreaking all kinds of havoc with both my personal and professional life.  I spent about 8 months with Josh working on getting me ready for a surgery that I had to have on my foot this fall.  Over the years of a chronic foot problem my back and core had failed me.  I can’t say enough about Josh and the staff at TBTailor.  Each one is caring and really wants to help you in anyway they can.  Josh not only helped me face my physical challenges but he was there for me as an emotional coach as well, sometimes I needed that more than anything given the chronicity of my issues and how they were affecting me as a professional, husband, and father.  He is a loving, caring soul who wants nothing more than his clients to be healed and get their lives back.  Each session ends in a hug that gives you hope and encouragement.  I am still recovering from my surgery but hope to reconnect with Josh when I’m well enough.  By the way, he continues to check in with me to see how I’m doing.  I consider him not only my trainer but my friend."

"I've worked with many excellent personal trainers for nearly 20 years now; each member of the team at The Body Tailor surpasses them all.  Every friend of mine who I've referred to The Body Tailor has become a thrilled, loyal -- and healthier -- client.  After our recent move from Amherst to California we couldn't give up The Body Tailor after working with Josh, Carrie and Phil for six years, so my partner and I continue to train with The Body Tailor -- after our move to California -- via Skype!"
